At the September 16, 2024 City Council Meeting, George Monk and Charlie Melkersman, Cooper County Commissioners, came before the Council discussing the Senior Citizen Property Tax Freeze that was passed by Missouri State Legislation, which became effective August 28, 2024.
The Commissioners submitted to the Council the Cooper County Senior Citizens Tax Credit Application that Cooper County Citizens will be using to apply for said credit. Signing up for the Tax relief is necessary. Signups will begin January 1, 2025 through September 15, 2025.
